Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Classic canto Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Grew up coming here and the nostalgia hit well. We ordered the shrimp & sole fish with spicy salt and beef with string beans. All were very good, lots of garlic, bits of spicy and copious amounts of green onions. These classic dishes hit the spot and the service was good with the complimentary tea (osmanthus) & was water.

We came here for lunch today and ordered the half-duck—wow, it was a flavor sensation! It was absolutely delicious—so juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Everything else we ordered was great too, especially the BBQ pork fried rice—OMG! 🤤🤤The servers were very friendly, and the place was clean and lovely. Thanks—whenever I’m back in Los Angeles, I’ll definitely return. 100% recommended! Lo mejor de lo mejor en el área de downtown chino lo ame ♥️♥️♥️♥️

The portions were generous, but the flavours were just okay overall. Even a basic dish like stir-fried morning glory was a little disappointing compared to the standard you would usually expect from restaurants. It had some wok hei, but the texture wasn’t particularly tender or silky — it honestly felt more like a home-cooked version. Not sure if it was the vegetables themselves or the cooking technique, but it didn’t really stand out.

Great Cantonese food in Chinatown. Everything we ordered was flavorful, especially the Peking duck and beef brisket. Service was smooth and parking was easy. Would come back!

Came here with a Cantonese friend who said you have to order roasted pigeon to judge authenticity—and it did not disappoint 😄 The roast duck was super crispy (no sauce needed at all), and the pigeon was juicy and flavorful. Beef chow fun had great wok hei and wasn’t greasy. Loved the crab meat fish maw soup—very comforting. Walnut shrimp wasn’t overly sweet either, which I appreciated. Didn’t get to try the rice rolls since we came for dinner, but they looked great—definitely coming back for that. Solid Cantonese spot
